Claz’room College in support of the Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur, Bantu Charity Club, and other key organizations to launch the “H Water Project,” a transformative initiative aimed at providing sustainable clean water solutions and improved sanitation to the Orang Asli community at Kampong Permatang Pauh. This remarkable effort, in memory of the late Dato Lee Chung Han, has earned recognition in the Malaysia Book of Records.
Memorable Event Highlights
The event, held near Pekan, Pahang, on 19 June 2024, was hosted by Tung Yan Ning, Past President of Inner Wheel Club of Intan and Managing Director of Claz’room College. The ceremony marked the inauguration of 43 new wells, the distribution of fruit tree seeds for sustainable agriculture, and the construction of a new toilet facility, all aimed at enhancing access to clean drinking water, boosting food security, and improving hygiene standards for the Orang Asli community.
Broad Community Participation and Support
The launch ceremony drew a diverse audience, including 33 members of the Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur, the family of the late Dato’ Lee Chung Han, representatives from the Malaysia Book of Records, Claz’room College, Bantu Charity Club, and over 100 Orang Asli villagers.
Active Student Involvement and Documentary Film
A unique highlight of the event was the initiative by Claz’room College students to produce a documentary film, aiming to raise awareness about the challenges and triumphs of the Orang Asli community.
