Brewing Collaboration Between Claz’room College And The Malaysian Pioneer Indie Game Developer, Kurechii
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – 21 January 2025 – Claz’room College has entered into a new exciting collaboration with Kurechii, one of Malaysia’s pioneering indie game development studios. This partnership is designed to provide youths with invaluable hands-on experience, industry insights, and mentorship, bridging the gap between education and the growing gaming industry in Malaysia.

Kurechii is best known for its successful indie titles like Postknight, Tiny Guardians, and King’s League series. Kurechii, which started off as a one-man studio, has built a strong international presence with its unique storytelling, immersive gameplay, and distinct art style. Kurechii has not only earned recognition in the indie gaming community but has also helped put Malaysia on the map in the global gaming scene. Their ability to create compelling narratives and engaging game mechanics has made them one of the key players in the indie sector and has been honored with a variety of awards including the Independent Games Festival (IGF) China, Best Game award and even the Taipei Game Show Indie Game Awards as the Most Popular Game category.
“Think big, start small, one step at a time” says Kurechii’s founder, Yi Wei
Reflecting the words of Kurechii’s founder, this collaboration is an exciting opportunity for youths to explore new experiences and gain insight on the success of a Malaysian indie game studio that reflects the local industry’s growth. Claz’room College aims to nurture the next generation of game developers, empowering them with the tools and knowledge to make their own mark in the global gaming market. A key aspect of this collaboration is the Dreamcatcher program, a unique initiative designed to offer youths aged 15 and above the opportunity to work directly with Kurechii’s team.
“Our collaboration with Kurechii is a powerful step towards blending education with real-world gaming innovation. It’s our mission to empower the next generation of game developers to not only enter, but to excel in the global game art arena.” remarked Claz’room College’s Managing Director, Tung Yan Ning.

The program provides participants with wider exposure and practical experience in game design, storytelling, and character design. Dreamcatcher participants, also known as dreamers, will work alongside industry professionals to create their own custom web-based 2D games. On top of that, our dreamers will enjoy a mix of exciting activities, including studio visits, workshops, and self-discovery exercises.
